With the hundreds of thousands of charities available for your consideration, we are honored that you consider Nick's Pavilion to be a cause worthy of your support. Thank you!!
Designed by Mike Dixon of Dixon Architects, the addition will serve several functions: First, it will expand the main (entry) level to include all of Nick’s living facilities. It will include a bathroom (the second for the family), Nick's bedroom, and a transitional area between his bedroom and the kitchen. It will also open out on to the back patio where there will be a protected fire pit.
The front entry to the home will be re-worked to include a wheelchair ramp without changing the exterior façade of the home. A second ramp will be placed (internally) at the rear of the home, enabling Nick to access the lower level.
Downstairs, Nick will have access to the current family room and a new Game Room. The Game Room is extremely important in the coming years. Due to the rigidity of Nick’s eating schedule and the need to constantly monitor his metabolic levels, he is unable to visit the home of friends. The designing architect kept Nick’s social needs and limited extracurricular endeavors in mind in his design of this room so that Nick can have a special place to entertain friends.
